The 2016 Researchers
Cultivate LA is a student project, first developed by UCLA Urban Planning students in 2013. The most recent update of the Cultivate LA map was coordinated by UCLA student Taylor Henry, working with Rachel Surls, the Sustainable Food Systems Advisor for UC Cooperative Extension. If you have questions about Cultivate LA, contact Rachel Surls at ramabie@ucanr.edu or see our FAQs. Funding for the 2016 update was provided by the UC Global Food Initiative.
The 2013 Researchers
As the capstone requirement at UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs, Department of Urban Planning, the original Cultivate LA report represents the culmination of six months of collaborative research between thirteen Master of Urban and Regional Planning students and three research associates, with facilitation by a doctoral candidate student advisor, and two faculty advisors.
